
MISSION STATEMENT:
Jackson Prepapratory School is dedicated to providing the best academic and character education in West TN. by preparing students to become responsible citizens who are capable of analyzing the world and making sound decisions.
HISTORY:
Mr. Robert J. Edwards retired from the U. S. Postal Service with 30 years of distinguished service and returned to his home of Jackson, Tennessee. After re-establishing himself in the South Madison County community, he brought together a group of friends who formed the concept of an affordable private school. In July 2007, the doors of Jackson Preparatory School opened to the first families.
Jackson Preparatory School is centrally located in Jackson at 130 Old Denmark Road. Our facility includes a 33-acre tract of land. Situated away from heavy traffic areas, the site is easily accessible for arrival and departure of students.
Our teaching staff is comprised of outstanding professionals who will provide our students with the academic and character education needed for life's opportunities. Jackson Preparatory School is accredited through the
Southern Association of College and Schools.
Jackson Preparatory School offers Pre-K 3 and 4 for younger children and an accredited school program for students in Kindergarten through high school. Pre-K through high school classes begin at 8:00 a.m. (students may be dropped off as early as 7:30 a.m.) and end at 3:15 p.m. Afterschool care is available until 5:30 p.m.
SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT:
Based on Judeo-Christian values, Jackson Preparatory School brings all of our students together once a week for Chapel. Each class takes turns presenting our program for a day as well as having outside guest speakers to visit. Chapel meetings are held each Wednesday at 8am. in our Gymnasium.
Students and Faculty are encouraged to participate in morning Devotionals within each individual Homeroom.
ACCREDITATION:
Our school was Accredited by the Sounthern Association of Colleges and Schools for all classes Kindergarten through grade 12 in the summer of 2009.
