Mr. Robert J. Edwards retired from the U. S. Postal Service with thirty years of distinguished service.  Following his retirement, he returned to his home of Jackson, Tennessee.  After reestablishing himself in the South Madison County community, he brought together a group of friends who formed the concept of an affordable private school.  In July, 2007 the doors of Jackson Preparatory School were opened to the first families.

Jackson Preparatory School is centrally located in Jackson at 130 Old Denmark Road.  Our facility includes a 40 acre tract of land.  Situated away from heavy traffic areas, the site is easily accessible for arrival and departure of students.

Our qualified professional teachers are dedicated to providing the students with the academic and character education required for life’s opportunities.  Due to our extended school day, under direct teacher supervision, Jackson Prep Students have more time in the evenings to preserve a strong family unit.

Jackson Preparatory School offers Daycare - High School.  Our Daycare opens at 6:30 a.m. and closes at 5:30 p.m.  Pre-K through High School classes start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4:15 p.m.  Jackson Prep students may arrive as early as 7:30 a.m. and depart as late as 5:30 p.m. at no additional charge.  Not only is this convenient for the multi-student family, but students can build lasting friendships from age 2 to 18!

Jackson Prep completed a success first year with 200 students.  Enrollment for school year 2008-2009 has reached about 250 students and is growing on a daily basis.  Please call the school office at 554-9648 to make an appointment to discuss enrolling your child for this school year.

School year 2008-2009 has not only brought additional students, but has also brought additional teachers.  Our teaching staff is comprised of outstanding professionals who will provide our students with the academic and character education needed for life's opportunities.  Last year Jackson Preparatory School initiated the accreditation process with the Southern Association of College and Schools and hopes to receive this accreditation in the mid-part of the 2009-2010 school year.

Our administrative staff is available Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. to discuss your child's academic needs.  You may reach us at 554-9647 or visit our contact us page.
